Capstone Project
For my master’s capstone project, I conducted a literature review examining language attrition among immigrants learning a second language. The research explored factors influencing long-term language retention, deepening my understanding of how social and contextual influences affect sustained language development.

Advanced ESL lesson
Designed a vocabulary lesson for advanced English learners that integrated prior knowledge, structured discussion, and writing tasks aligned with higher-order thinking skills. The lesson emphasized active engagement, critical thinking, and practical language application.

Authentic Materials Project
Collaborated on the development of instructional materials using original photographs and curated content centered on a focused thematic unit. The project integrated reading, vocabulary, and grammar activities designed to promote meaningful, context-based language learning.

Pronunciation Lesson Plan
Collaborated on the design and presentation of a pronunciation lesson addressing minimal pair distinctions ( “rock” and “lock”). The lesson incorporated focused explanation and structured practice activities to support learners in developing phonological awareness and accurate sound production.

Integrated Lesson Plan
Designed an integrated listening and reading lesson incorporating pre-, during-, and post-activity tasks. The lesson engaged learners in vocabulary development, speaking practice, grammar reinforcement, and writing to support comprehensive language skill integration

Book Comparison Report
Conducted a comparative analysis of two ESL learning applications, evaluating features, instructional approaches, strengths, and limitations to assess overall effectiveness for language learners.
